It’s that time of year again!!
I am really hating this time of year. Not only is it tax time, but Little League is kicking into high gear. I hate tax time for obvious reasons, but more so this year than any other that I can remember. I am relatively certain that we are getting a refund but I still hate to see the amount that we actually end up paying when I know that it is going mostly for programs that provide for lazy people wanting a handout. I voice my opinion with my vote but it doesn’t really amount to much.
I hate the prep for Little League, not the actual season which is usually a lot of fun. I hate getting those damn First Aid Kits together and handing them out. I hate all the asses calling Sam and saying their kid is too good to play on a certain league and that the board should make an exception to the rules for their kid who is a superstar. Blah, blah, blah!! Tryouts are coming up in a few weeks. Tara is playing Softball on the JV team at school and for some reason doesn’t want to play Little League. So, this year it will only be Jake who plays Little League.
Ski season is coming to an end. Erin and I went yesterday and froze our butts off!! We were only there for a few hours because the conditions were less than optimal to say the least. The wind was crazy and not only froze us but caused snow drifts in the middle of runs. I am hoping to go again sometime this week when it’s not so windy and the runs are groomed better.
I have to get working on getting all the tax stuff together. The past two years, we have had an accountant do our taxes because of the rental, but I am going to see if I can figure it out and save the $175 fee to the accountant.
Today is Alex’s 26 th birthday !! Happy Birthday, Alex !!

Just a short post to blog about how I never blog. Will blog this weekend. I want to complain about Christine never blogging either, but I’m just as bad. So get ready for a long post from me this weekend.

Family Stuff
The shopping has commenced!! I bought a few things for the baby. I have to keep reminding myself that she doesn’t need an entire wardrobe when she is 1 day old and that there are lots of other family members on both sides of her family that will be buying things for this first grandchild. Of course everything I bought was on sale, of course I got an additional discount and of course I got free shipping!!
Jake will be going back to school tomorrow. I figured out that the easiest way for him to write is to hold a clipboard in his lap. I think he will be able to manage to take notes in class.
Tara’s 15th birthday was yesterday. I made shrimp scampi for dinner per her request. We also had chocolate cake. Her big gift was a new bike that she picked out herself. Hopefully, it will last a while. Grandma and Sam and I split the cost so we could afford more than a cheap one. Jenny and Jeramiah were here for the weekend and got to celebrate with us.

A Baby Girl !!
The entire family is so excited about Jenny and Jeramiah’s baby girl that is due on June 10th. I am so happy that they decided to find out the sex so I could actually shop for cute stuff!! They are busy choosing a name. They are also hard at work picking out a design for the nursery. Time is going by quickly (even Jenny thinks so). She is 20 weeks and 1 day according to the ultrasound that was done this week. There’s a lot to get done but it’s all happy work!!!!!
